A corpulent heart

A 62-year-old man with a prior history of systemic
hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and pulmonary emphysema underwent a
transthoracic echocardiographic examination (TTE).
The echocardiogram, which was of suboptimal quality, raised
the suspicion of a right atrial mass. To better characterise this finding, a
cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) exam was performed (Figure 1 and Figure
2).
