This study looked at care of heart attacks over a 10-year period in New Zealand and shows that whilst care has gotten better considerable room remains for further improvements. This includes identifying high risk patients early and transferring them to hospitals for coronary angiography (201cdye test). It is also hoped that ministry of health initiatives such as ANZACSQI, a registry of all heart attack admissions in New Zealand will help us with further quality improvement.
